Today is officially the third "snow day" for the area. It all started Monday morning around 5 am with pellets of ice hitting the window. Matt, fortunately, did not have to go into work until Monday afternoon. He was on call, so he did not return home until Tuesday morning. The roads have been slick, but not completely awful. Poor Charlotte has not left the house since Sunday! I did sneak out for a quick grocery run yesterday afternoon. I left Matt studying and Charlotte sleeping.
Things have been great around here. We were able to get out of town last weekend for a quick trip to Louisiana. Matt's grandparents celebrated their 90th and 88th birthdays over the weekend. We drove down Friday after Matt got off of work and returned Sunday morning. It was great getting to see all of this family in one place. Charlotte did well with all of the attention, too. We have pictures, but most of them are on Matt's phone. In the next day or so I will be sure to post some pictures from the party/weekend.
In other news, the countdown is on for Matt's oral board exam. His test is 3 weeks from tomorrow! Most of his free time is spent studying, so I have become involved in several activities around town. I stay busy with Junior League and am about to join a new Bible study. I also recently joined a tennis team. Lots of wonderful things to do in the area. We are also members of the Zoo and Children's Museum. Charlotte loves both! Like I said, I will post some pictures of her in the coming days. Have a great day!
