It's Friday!

Not too much to report since the previous birthday post.  Matt has been working quite a bit.  We haven't left town much recently but remain content sitting at home on the weekends and enjoying our new house.  The three of us (four including Toby) did make it to Oxford for the first home football game.  It was Charlotte's first game to attend, and she did even better than we expected.

We also recently ordered some MUCH needed furniture, so I will be sure to start posting pictures as soon as the first pieces begin to arrive.  I can't wait!

Charlotte is as happy and playful as ever.  She loves playing with Toby and often grabs him by the skin and won't let go.  Poor dog just sits there and watches her.  He is so sweet and puts up with everything she does to him!  She also recently starting climbing in to cabinets.  Looks like we are going to have to purchase some of those child proof latches for the cabinet doors.

One last important thing...  September 5th, 2014 was our blog's 5 year anniversary!  I thought about it that week but was clearly too distracted to sit down and write a post.  Seems like so long ago that we lived in Shreveport!  Lots of great memories packed in to the previous 5 years.

How did I forget the this (see pics below)??  Early is September Matt signed Toby up for the wiener dog races at the annual Germantown Festival.  I am not kidding when I say the other participants were SERIOUS about the races (family t-shirts and all).  Close to 50 dogs participated , but unfortunately Toby did not make it in to the finals.  Basically, he got distracted by the female dog in the neighboring lane.  Also, the FLOODS came and he was forced to race the the rain.  It was awful. We all got soaked, and our entire family smelled like a wet dog when the whole thing was over! Next year we will come with a better game plan!
