A Few Busy Weeks

Lots to update you on since my last post.  Matt took his test on July 28th, and we spent the next day at the zoo with daddy.  (He is still awaiting his results from this exam.)  The following weekend we packed up the car and headed to Baton Rouge.  It was our first time to drive from the new house to Baton Rouge.  Charlotte did very well!  For the most part the drive is a familiar one for both of us.  9 years ago we used to frequent I-55.  Matt was in Baton Rouge and I was at Ole Miss at the time.  Seems like such a long time ago!

We had a great time in Baton Rouge with Matt's family.  It was cousin Mac's first birthday.  His circus themed party was a huge success.  On August 3rd we drove back home so Matt could prepare for his first day of work.

Matt has since completed his first two weeks of work.  Charlotte also started a Parent's Day Out program at a local church.  I recently started going to the gym again.  (About time...I know!) Friday night Charlotte spent the night with her Grandma and Pop in Oxford.  Matt and I had a nice date night and were able to sleep in Saturday morning.  This week I am preparing for Charlotte's birthday party.  We are having the party at our house with a few family members and a couple of local friends.  Will post pictures next week from the party.  Let's hope we get some good ones!
