No pictures - Just words :)

Hello everyone! The last two weeks have been busy here. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean pictures for this blog post. Everytime I look for my camera it is either dead or lost. Not cool!

Anyway, let's take it back to last weekend. Kayla and Kevin came in town from Columbus for a visit. They wanted to see our house along with some other friends in town. Friday we went to dinner then out afterwards. Saturday we took it easy and did a lot of relaxing. It was great to see the two of them, and hope to do it again soon!

Sunday night I met up with Lauren Bardwell (who was in town from Nashville). She is a good friend from high school that I had not seen since our wedding. We had dinner and were able to do some good catching up.

Monday I headed to Columbus for Mom's hip replacement. This was a planned thing, so there was so surprise here. She went in early Monday morning, and was there until Thursday. Three nights on the hospital couch were plenty for me, and for her in the bed, too. Fortunately, she is doing great now, and feeling a lot better!

On Friday we went to dinner with Jay and Chavanne, and then met some of his other classmates out. It was a fun night, but staying up until two was a little difficult. Fortunately we were able to sleep in on Saturday.

Stephen (Matt's friend from Baton Rouge) and his girlfriend Olivia were in town visiting family over the weekend. Saturday we were able to meet up over lunch, and they were able to come over and see the house. They are a great couple, and we are glad to see that they are doing well.

Yesterday, we headed on I-20 to Raymond, MS for Sarah and Brad's son, James, 1st birthday party. I was SO mad to discover that my camera was dead when I got there. Anyway, it was great seeing him and how big he has gotten. Sarah and Brad also stopped by last night to see the house. This morning they are headed back home to Pennsylvania. We miss you guys back in the South!

So, that is pretty much our last two weeks in review. We have been lucky to have so many friends call/stop by. Keep it coming! Hope everyone has a great week. Also, on that note, I start my new job as a Pediatric Dietitian at Blair Batson Children's Hospital (part of University of Mississippi Medical Center) next Monday. Last week of freedom for me! :)

  1. See...that wasn't so hard. Nice background. Now you can change it weekly if you choose.
