Things picked up for us this past week on Wednesday. Matt had an interview in Little Rock, and I was invited to go to the "meet and greet" dinner the night before. I left work at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, and we got there in time to check-in at our hotel and get dressed. Dinner and drinks afterward were a lot of fun, and we were able to meet lots of new people.
It was up early on Thursday for both of us. Matt had his day of interviewing, and I had to return home to host a party. See, last year my co-workers threw me a Christmas shower. Afterward, I found out that I was nominated to hold the annual Christmas party this year. So, I headed home from Little Rock in order to clean and get ready for the party. Let me say that our party is very casual. Everyone usually comes straight from work and wears their scrubs. This year, however, we have a couple of girls that are dating new guys and chose not to wear their scrubs. I am basically telling you this in order to explain the pics below. Didn't want to confuse anyone with some people dressed up and others in scrubs.
Matt made it home from his interview in the middle of the party. This is good because he was able to take a group picture for us. Also, I want to note that my camera decided to stop working in the middle of the party. NOT COOL. This is why I didn't end up with very many good pictures...sad.
Friday morning I was up early and off to work. I had to catch up since I didn't come in on Thursday. After work I ran to the store to get some groceries. A few weeks previously our friend, Stephen, had asked if he and his girlfriend, Olivia, could stay at our house. They had an engagement party to attend on Saturday. The four of us had a great weekend getting to hang out and catch up! It was so much fun. Unfortunately, I was not able to make it to the Sunday School Christmas party, but I can't wait to hear all about it.
That's it for now. Back to entertaining Toby. He is spoiled from having so much attention this weekend!
