Matt and I were talking last week about how many wonderful people we have met since moving to Jackson just over 3 years ago. From the moment we moved to town everyone has been so kind and gracious. Last week was a good example. It happened to be a busy work week for me. Stephanie was out on vacation, and I was cross-covering several services. Obviously, it was good timing. Little did I know a suprise baby shower was being planned right in front of me! The amazing staff in the PICU put together a fabulous shower. Matt even dropped by for a visit and ate the last piece of cake! (He missed the actual shower because he was in surgery.) A big thank you to Natalie, Lindsey, Jenna, and Shawanda for working on all of the details. It was so much fun! I didn't have my camera, but here are some pictures I took with my phone!
A big thank you to Megan James (fellow blogger) for coordinating a diaper shower for us during Sunday School last week. We have a wonderful group of friends in our young adult Sunday School class at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. The turnout was great (even for the middle of summer). I am pretty sure the guys came because they knew there would be food! :) We had a delicious breakfast, and Charlotte got LOTS of diapers. Now we are pretty much set for her arrival!
